Community leaders applaud Media Plus initiative ‘Onavasantham’
Doha: Community leaders, business personalities and prominent members of the Indian expatriate community in Qatar have applauded Media Plus for bringing out ‘Onavasantham’, a special publication dedicated to celebrating the spirit, cultural heritage and timeless values of Onam.
The special edition has been widely appreciated as a meaningful initiative that goes beyond the festivities of the season to highlight the universal values represented by Onam — unity, equality, friendship, sharing, compassion and social harmony.
A number of dignitaries and community leaders appreciated the initiative, including Dr. M. P. The community leaders congratulated Media Plus for its sustained efforts to use publications and media initiatives as effective platforms for cultural promotion, community engagement and social awareness. They observed that such initiatives assume special significance in an expatriate environment, where cultural publications help younger generations remain connected with their heritage while also introducing the richness of Indian traditions to the wider multicultural society.
