Introducing the novel, Nishab Guruvayoor said Mara explores the hidden realities that often exist behind seemingly peaceful human relationships.

“When we journey into the deeper layers of human relationships, we often encounter disturbing realities disguised beneath the face of love. Many lives that appear calm and perfect from the outside conceal unseen layers beneath the surface. This novel is an exploration through those hidden corridors, revealing the emotional complexities and psychological truths that often remain unspoken,” he said.
Nishab added that the novel is deeply inspired by his family, expressing heartfelt gratitude to his wife Aisha Fami and children Nifan Meh Ban and Fayad Eesa, whom he described as the greatest source of inspiration behind the work.
A resident of Qatar for nearly seventeen years, Nishab is the proprietor of Safar Travel & Tours. Despite the demands of running a successful business, his enduring passion for poetry, literature and creative writing inspired him to pursue fiction, culminating in the publication of his first novel.

Beyond his literary interests, Nishab is also an active social media content creator. Together with his wife and children, he runs the popular Qatar Mallu Vlogs channel, sharing experiences of expatriate life, travel and community activities with a wide audience.
The novel has been published by Unicode Self Publishing, marking a significant milestone in Nishab Guruvayoor’s literary journey.
