PRIORITISE YOUR HEALTH FOR A PEACEFUL AND FULFILLING LIFE: DR. TINU THAMPI

Sharjah: Health should be given the highest priority in life as it is the foundation of happiness, peace, and overall well-being, said Dr. Tinu Thampi, leading Ayurvedic physician and CEO of Dalma Ayurvedic Centre, Sharjah. He was speaking after receiving The Health Chronicle, a health awareness publication brought out by Mediaplus, from its CEO and Chief Editor, Dr. Amanulla Vadakkangara.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Tinu Thampi emphasized that many people today are caught in the relentless pursuit of material success, wealth, and power while neglecting the very asset that makes life meaningful—good health. He noted that healthy habits, nutritious food, physical activity, mental wellness, and adequate rest are often sacrificed in the race for financial achievements and social status.
“People spend years accumulating wealth and achieving professional success, but in the process many lose their health. When they finally attain financial security and influence, they often discover that poor health prevents them from enjoying the fruits of their hard work. Health is not merely one aspect of life; it is the very foundation upon which a meaningful and fulfilling life is built,” he said.
Dr. Tinu Thampi stressed that health is the greatest wealth a person can possess. While money lost can often be regained, health lost may not always be fully restored. He urged individuals and families to adopt preventive healthcare practices and make conscious efforts to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
Appreciating the publication of The Health Chronicle, he described it as a commendable initiative aimed at educating the public on important health-related issues. He pointed out that lack of awareness continues to be one of the major reasons behind the growing incidence of lifestyle diseases and preventable health conditions. Publications and awareness campaigns that empower people with accurate health information play a crucial role in building healthier communities, he added.
Speaking about the mission of Dalma Ayurvedic Centre, Dr. Tinu Thampi said that the institution remains committed to its guiding slogan, “Your Health is Our Priority.” He explained that Dalma promotes a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses not only on treating diseases but also on preventing them through healthy living, proper nutrition, stress management, and natural healing practices.
“Our objective is to help people achieve complete physical, mental, and emotional well-being. True healthcare goes beyond curing illnesses; it involves empowering individuals to lead healthier and more balanced lives,” he said.
Noted mountaineer and author Swapna Ibrahim, who received the copy of the Health Chronicle at a special function held at Media Plus office in Doha has also appreciated the efforts of Mediaplus in publishing The Health Chronicle. She noted that health awareness is one of the most important investments any society can make and praised initiatives that bring valuable health information closer to the public.

“Health is the most important wealth. Every effort must be made to preserve, strengthen, and protect it. Awareness is the first step toward prevention, and prevention is always better than cure,” she remarked.
Dr. Amanulla Vadakkangara, CEO and Chief Editor of Mediaplus, said that promoting health awareness has become an urgent social responsibility in the modern world. He explained that The Health Chronicle was launched with the objective of educating people about preventive healthcare, healthy lifestyle choices, and the importance of physical and mental well-being.
He further noted that good health is not merely a personal concern but a collective social asset that contributes to stronger families, productive communities, and a healthier nation. Through publications, awareness programmes, and community engagement initiatives, Mediaplus aims to encourage people to take greater responsibility for their health and well-being.

Representatives of Classic Qatar, including its Chief Coordinator Shafeeq Almas, lead singer Bindu Chandran, and celebrated dancers Lakshmi and Aiswarya, along with their proud mother Sindhu, also received copies of The Health Chronicle and expressed their appreciation for the initiative. They commended Mediaplus for its efforts to promote health awareness within the community and highlighted the importance of educating people about healthy living and preventive healthcare. They noted that such initiatives play a vital role in inspiring individuals and families to adopt healthier lifestyles and make informed choices for their well-being.
