GOOD ENVIRONMENT ESSENTIAL FOR HEALTHY LIVING: DR. TINU THAMPI

Sharjah: A healthy environment is fundamental to healthy living, and every effort must be made to protect nature from the growing challenges it faces, said Dr. Tinu Thampi, CEO of Dalma Ayurvedic Centre, Sharjah, while inaugurating the World Environment Day observance jointly organized by Dalma Ayurvedic Centre , Mediaplus and Mindtune Ecowaves.


Addressing the gathering, Dr. Tinu Thampi emphasized that the quality of human life is directly linked to the quality of the environment. “The air we breathe, the food we consume, and many other essentials for life depend greatly on environmental conditions. Protecting nature is not merely an option but a responsibility that we owe to future generations,” he said.
Environment concerns should not be limited to any specific days and should be an inevitable part of our daily life. Care for nature is care for humanity, he said


Dr. Amanulla Vadakkangara, CEO of Mediaplus , who attended as the chief guest at the event, highlighted the seriousness of the environmental challenges confronting the world today. He called upon individuals, organizations, and communities to spare no effort in safeguarding the environment and promoting sustainable living practices.


We are temporary custodians of this beautiful planet and we have to hand it over to the next generation in all its purity and sanctity.
Writer and social worker Basheer Vadakara spoke about the social responsibility of every citizen in preserving ecological balance and creating environmental awareness among the younger generation.


Shabber Puvanoth of Mindtune Ecowaves elaborated on the dangers posed by environmental degradation and stressed the need for collective action to address issues such as pollution, climate change, and the depletion of natural resources.
Dr. Anju, Dr. Shibina, Sujith Sukumaran and Ayyoob Dalma also addressed the gathering and shared their perspectives on environmental conservation and public health. The programme, held as part of World Environment Day celebrations, served as a platform to raise awareness about environmental protection and inspire community participation in building a greener and healthier future.
