ദോഹ. മധ്യ പൗരസ്ത്യ ദേശത്ത് ആദ്യമായി നടക്കാനിരിക്കുന്ന 2022 ഫിഫ ലോക കപ്പ് അടുത്ത വര്‍ഷം നിറഞ്ഞ സ്റ്റേഡിയങ്ങളിലാണ് അരങ്ങേറുകയെന്ന് ഫിഫ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഗിയാനി ഇന്‍ഫാന്റിനോയെ ഉദ്ധരിച്ച് റോയിട്ടേര്‍സ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തു. തിങ്കളാഴ്ച പറഞ്ഞു.
”എനിക്ക് വളരെ ആത്മവിശ്വാസമുണ്ട് . ഖത്തറില്‍ നടക്കുന്ന ലോക കപ്പ് അവിശ്വസനീയമായിരിക്കും, ഒരേ മാജിക് ഉണ്ടാകും, ലോകത്തെ ഒന്നിപ്പിക്കും. നമ്മ എവിടെയായിരിക്കണമെന്ന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നിടത്ത് നാം തിരിച്ചെത്തും, അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
കോവിഡ് -19 നെതിരായ വാക്‌സിനുകള്‍ക്ക് ലോകകപ്പ് കളിക്കാര്‍ മുന്‍ഗണനാ ഗ്രൂപ്പായിരുന്നില്ല. ഫിഫ ലോക കപ്പിന്റെ യോഗ്യത മല്‍സരങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി മൂവായിരത്തോളം കളിക്കാര്‍ അടുത്ത മാസം അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര യാത്രകള്‍ക്ക് തയ്യാറാകവേ കൊറോണ വൈറസ് പാന്‍ഡെമിക്കിലെ ആരോഗ്യ നിയമങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍ണമായും പാലിക്കാന്‍ ഫിഫ പ്രതിജ്ഞാബദ്ധമാണ്. ഫുട്‌ബോള്‍ കളിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ആരുടെയും ആരോഗ്യത്തിന് ഒരു റിസ്‌കും ഞങ്ങള്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കില്ല,” ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടനയുടെ വാര്‍ത്താ സമ്മേളനത്തില്‍ ഇന്‍ഫാന്റിനോ പറഞ്ഞു.
