Community leaders advocate healthy living

Doha, Qatar: Prominent community leaders, healthcare advocates, and social influencers came together in Doha to emphasize the importance of healthy habits and a balanced lifestyle during the grand release of Health Chronicle, a special publication brought out by Mediaplus, a leading advertising and event management company in Qatar. The event, held at City Exchange, marked a significant step toward promoting health awareness within the expatriate community.


The gathering witnessed an impressive turnout of dignitaries, professionals, and well-wishers from various sectors, reflecting the growing importance of preventive healthcare and lifestyle management in today’s fast-pace world. Speakers at the event collectively highlighted that health is not merely the absence of disease but a holistic state of physical, mental, and social well-being.
The publication was officially released by a distinguished panel comprising Sharaf P Hameed, CEO of City Exchange and President of the Qatar Indian Football Forum, along with Anti-Smoking SocietyChairman Dr. M.P. Hassan Kunhi and Global Chairman Dr. Muhammedunni Olakara. The release ceremony was conducted in the presence of several notable personalities, including senior journalist Satyendra Pathak, ICC General Secretary Abdraham Joseph, Doha Beauty Centre Managing Director Dr. SheelaPhilip, Rocka Power Gym MD Muhammed Noushad Aboo, GRCC President Roshni Krishnan, psychologist Aysha Saibool, poet and singer Sherin Poyli, The Way Corporate CEO Uwais, Ahmed Al Magribi Perfumes Marketing Manager Saif Al Hashmi, and Rafi Parakkattil, presenter of the popular motivational seriesVijayaman Amanulla Vadakkangara, CEO of Mediaplus and Chief Editor of Health Chronicle. In his opening remarks, Dr. Amanulla underscored the urgent need for awareness-driven health education, particularly in a time when lifestyle diseases are on the rise globally.


He emphasized that Health Chronicle aims to serve as a reliable guide, inspiring individuals to adopt healthier routines and make informed decisions about their well-being. Speakers at the function called upon the community to embrace healthy living as a lifelong commitment rather than a temporary effort. They pointed out that modern lifestyles, characterized by sedentary habits, unhealthy diets, and increased stress levels, have significantly contributed to the prevalence of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Sharaf P Hameed, the CEO of City Exchange and President of the Qatar Indian Football Forum underlined the importance of community-driven initiatives in promoting fitness and active lifestyles.
He highlighted the role of sports and physical activities in enhancing overall health and building social cohesion. He recollected his initiatives for promoting football and other sports activities in the past 35 years in Qatar.


Dr. M.P. Hassan Kunhi, known for his active association in medical supplies and involvement in health related researches observed that finding time for physical exercise and following healthy practices are highly significant for healthy life.
Dr.Muhammedunni Olakara, in his address, spoke about the global perspective on health and wellness, emphasizing the interconnectedness of physical and mental health.
ICC general secretary Abraham Joseph called upon people to adopt simple yet impactful habits such as regular exercise,balanced nutrition, adequate rest, and stress management.
GRCC President Roshni Krishnan emphasized that community organizations have a vital role in spreading awareness about healthy living.
Senior journalistS tyendra Pathak hig ligh ed the responsibility of the media in promotinghealth consciousness. He remarked that publcations like Health Chronicle are essential in delivering credible and impactful information to the public, helping people make informed lifestyle choices.
Dr. Sheela Philip, Managing Director of Doha Beauty Centre, spoke about the close connection between health, wellness, and self-care. She stressed that true beauty comes from within and is deeply rooted in a healthy body and mind, urging individuals to prioritize holistic well-being.
Muhammed Noushad Aboo, Managing Director of Rocka Power Gym underlined the importance of maintaining a healthy workforce and community.
Uwais, CEO of The Way Corporate, reflected on the need for balance in modern life. He stated that success should not come at the cost of health and emphasized the importance of integrating wellness practices into daily routines, both personally and professionally.
Psychologist Aysha Saibool spoke about the significance of mental health, urging individuals to prioritize emotional well-being and seek help when needed. Poet and singer Sherin Poyli shared her personal health experience and called for personal care to ensure health.
Rafi Parakkattil, presenter of Vijayamanthrangal and Saif Al Hashmi, marketing manager of Ahmed Al Magribi perfumes also spoke on the occasion.
